Job Summary: We are seeking a Registered Nurse RN Progressive Care Unit to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care to cardiac and medical step-down patients.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Care for cardiac and medical step-down patients, including post CABG, post heart, liver, or kidney transplantation, post neurosurgery, and VAD patients.
  
• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
    
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
    
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
    
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
    
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
    
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
