Job Description:

Lead Cook I (Second Shift): Pay $18/hrThe Lead Cook will be responsible for supervising the preparation of meals and meal components to specs of the daily menu of the operation. We are seeking an individual with prior high volume food service (cooking) experience with an institutional or cafeteria experience being a plus.Lead Cook Essential Functions:Follow safety, sanitation, and temperature controlsPreparing meals according to daily customer menus following established recipesEnsure meals are ready for distribution according to scheduled daily route departuresAssist with clean-up of kitchen, pack area and other areas as directedPreparation of meats, sauces, casseroles, desserts, graviesMeat slicingComplete and maintain paperwork as requiredProvide support to pack and sanitation staffOther duties assigned by managementLead Cook Qualifications:Demonstrate Leadership experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment - Required.Minimum of 4 Years cooking experience (Institutional Preferred)Operate equipment: Meat Slicer, Steam Kettles, Convection Ovens, Warmers, Pallet Jack, etc.Able to follow written recipes and cooking/packaging instructionsAble to Portion and Pack to Accurate Quantities/CountsFamiliar with OSHA, GMP's, Food Safety, and HACCP programs.Provide support to Pack and Sanitation staffStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of food safety principles preferredIt is required to work a full-time scheduled shift from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm or until shift change.High school diploma or GED graduate preferred.Lead Cook Physical Demands:Work near moving mechanical parts, Fumes or airborne particlesExtreme cold (non-weather), Extreme heat (non-weather)Moderate NoiseUnder 1/3: Walk, Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, Taste or smell; 1/3 to 2/3: Talk or hear.Over 2/3: See, Stand, use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms.Weight Lifting/ExertionUnder 1/3: Up to 50 lbs.Under 1/3: Wet or humid conditions (non-weather)#TalrooTampa#INDTP2 Associated topics: baker, cocinera, cocinera de produccion, cocinero, cocinero de produccion, food preparation, fryer, grill, kitchen prep, prep
